Kevin Eklund, Broker, CDPE
I have worked directly in real estate sales for over 12 years and come from a family with over 30 years of real estate experience. Strengths I bring to the team include previous experience in operations consulting, and as founder of a software company. I have ranked in the top percentiles of all RE/MAX agents for production and am a member of the Re/Max International Hall of Fame. Experience includes residential sales, property management, and investor asset management, plus short sale listings, and REO sales.
I was born and raised in the East Bay and have been a resident of Danville for over 15 years. I raised two daughters in Danville who attended local schools. My oldest daughter is a recent college graduate working at a private equity firm in the Chicago area. My younger daughter is studying in the well recognized architecture program at Cal Poly following her father in appreciation of structure and design.
Eklund Real Estate Group is a team of agents specializing in residential real estate sales. We strive to be dynamic, forward thinking professionals thriving and growing in an ever changing market. We look forward to serving you and enjoy the relationships built through this service.

Helping People Is My Profession
All of my vocational life has been devoted to helping people. As a pastor for many years, I spent my time working with people, tending to needs, communicating in a wide variety of ways, supervising staff, programs and projects, and working to better the communities in which we lived. I was deeply privileged to spend a lot of time with people in the many “sacred junctions” of their lives: births and deaths, marriages and sometimes dissolutions, raising families—a multitude of joyful and sorrowful times and all the times in between.
I have also long been a lover of homes, land, construction, exterior and interior design, architecture, landscaping—all of the things that make real estate “real” … and enjoyable, beautiful and valuable. It brings a lot of personal and professional satisfaction to work with people in times of transition as they prepare to move up or down or across or away—whatever new steps they are taking in their continuing life journeys and their need to provide a home that best fits these new steps.
My wife and I raised our sons in Walnut Creek where I lived and worked for two decades. We are now enjoying the other side of the valley living in the rolling hills of Pleasant Hill. My wife, Jan, has taught in public and private schools in Walnut Creek for over 20 years. We enjoy walking, bird-watching, gardening, reading, cooking, travel and playing with our frisky black lab, Bluebell. We have two adult sons and, wonder of wonders, a lovely daughter-in-law and two beautiful grandsons.
“I was impressed with the constant professional attention to details and the elimination of surprises resulting in a relatively worry free process.”
“I was impressed with Kevin’s knowledge of the current market conditions. He made helpful, practical suggestions on making a good presentation. Communication and clarity on issues to be addressed prior to sale was excellent. He was available to carry out tasks in a timely manner and was very professional in his approach towards working with us as clients and interfacing with buyers and other agents.
I came to rely on Kevin for advice and counsel during the very challenging process of getting the home ready for sale. I feel that his support and guidance were integral to our overall success. Had it not been for his expertise and assistance, things would not have gone as smoothly as they did.”
