GREG LEDBETTER, Realtor:
Helping People Is My Profession
All of my vocational life has been devoted to helping people. As a pastor for many years, I spent my time working with people, tending to needs, communicating in a wide variety of ways, supervising staff, programs and projects, and working to better the communities in which we lived. I was deeply privileged to spend a lot of time with people in the many “sacred junctions” of their lives: births and deaths, marriages and sometimes dissolutions, raising families—a multitude of joyful and sorrowful times and all the times in between.
I have also long been a lover of homes, land, construction, exterior and interior design, architecture, landscaping—all of the things that make real estate “real” … and enjoyable, beautiful and valuable. It brings a lot of personal and professional satisfaction to work with people in times of transition as they prepare to move up or down or across or away—whatever new steps they are taking in their continuing life journeys and their need to provide a home that best fits these new steps.
My wife and I raised our sons in Walnut Creek where I lived and worked for two decades. We are now enjoying the other side of the valley living in the rolling hills of Pleasant Hill. My wife, Jan, has taught in public and private schools in Walnut Creek for over 20 years. We enjoy walking, birdwatching, gardening, reading, cooking, travel and playing with our frisky black lab, Bluebell. We have two adult sons and, wonder of wonders, a lovely daughter-in-law and two beautiful grandsons.
